On July 21, 2023, the Metropolitan Transportation Board (MTB) unanimously approved the FFY 2024-2029 TIP for the Albuquerque Metropolitan Planning Area (AMPA) through the adoption of Resolution 23-11. The cycle of the current FFY 2020-2025 TIP will end September 30, 2023 to welcome the new FFY 2024-2029 TIP effective October 1, 2023.
Approved projects for the FFY 2024-2029 TIP comprise transit enhancements and expansion, bicycle and pedestrian improvements, roadway improvements, safety improvements, intelligent transportation system enhancements, and studies/data collection. The FFY 2024-2029 TIP is approximately 1,023,728,512 dollars worth of transportation investment for the metropolitan area.
