The Mid-Region Council of Governments (MRCOG) is accepting resumes for the position of Information Systems Specialist.
MRCOG seeks professional to install, maintain, manage, and provide technical support for MRCOG and supported agencies’ computer hardware, software, and peripherals. Provide support to all locations within the region.
Essential Functions
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to: Manage computer network systems, including all computers, network equipment, and peripherals; Implement and manage electronic mail systems, computer and communications security systems; Setup and perform system backups and restores; Diagnose and resolve users’ computer-related hardware and software problems; Install and maintain software including both locally installed and network hardware/ software; Manage LAN/ WAN equipment, firewalls and connection to Internet; perform periodic hardware/ software inventories.
Qualifications
Associate degree in Computer Science or related field plus two (2) years related experience. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)/ Cisco certification may substitute for degree. Bachelor’s degree may substitute for one (1) year of experience. Experience must include working with local area networked equipment and software and experience with Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022) based systems including MS Active Directory management. Experience with MS Windows-based (7/8/10/11) PCs required.
