The Mid-Region Council of Governments/ Rio Metro Regional Transit District (MRCOG/RMRTD) seek a full time Service Worker to service, clean and perform minor maintenance on facilities and motor vehicles in support of mechanics and transit operators for its Los Lunas Office.
Responsibilities
Under direct supervision of the Transit Supervisor, successful candidate will maintain a comprehensive maintenance program for all types of vehicles including, but not limited to; servicing, cleaning, inspecting, and performing minor maintenance on buses and staff vehicles. Perform safety inspections on all vehicles and coordinate repairs with appropriate repair facilities. Transport supplies or materials to work site. Will need to operate a variety of motor vehicles. Perform other duties as assigned. May serve as back up driver if necessary.
Qualifications
Qualifications include: Must be 21 years of age, have a High School Diploma or GED; No DWI convictions, and no more than 1 moving violation in the past 24 months. Valid NM CDL, Class A or B driver’s license with passenger endorsement desired but not required. Certifications in Defensive Driving, CPR, and First Aid highly desirable. Service Worker positions are considered safety sensitive under Federal Transit Administration and are subject to drug and alcohol regulations including random drug and alcohol testing.
